    Prior to sanctions and cancellations, Venezuela was an important market for American Airlines‘ network of connections in South America. Operations were carried out from different U.S. cities, although lately was mainly focused on Miami.

    In the case of 2005, Caracas had a total of five American routes, while Maracaibo had one regular leg.

    These operations were performed on Airbus A300-600s, Boeing 737-800s and Boeing 757-200s.
