    SWISS Amplifies Intercontinental Flight Services

Simultaneously, SWISS aims to minimize the number of wet lease flights in the coming winter, intending to reduce airBaltic and Helvetic Airways operations on its behalf by half.

«In view of the increasing travel enthusiasm, we’re delighted to provide an extensive range of routes and services in our forthcoming winter schedules. This strategy aligns with our steady and balanced growth trajectory«, expresses Tamur Goudarzi Pour, SWISS Chief Commercial Officer.

    Expansion in Zurich Network

SWISS will connect travelers to 63 short- and medium-haul destinations from Zurich, its primary hub. The Zurich – Bremen route, which was discontinued due to the pandemic, will resume with four weekly flights this winter. Services from several German cities to Dusseldorf, Hamburg, and Hannover will also increase.

Prague and Bucharest routes will witness augmented services during winter, operating daily and five times weekly, respectively. Other frequent SWISS destinations from Zurich include Berlin (52 flights per week), Barcelona (28 flights per week), Amsterdam (28 flights per week), and Athens (19 flights per week).

In Portugal, the schedule includes two daily flights to Lisbon and 11 weekly flights to Porto. SWISS and its Lufthansa Group sister airline, Austrian Airlines, will restart the Zurich and Vienna route with three daily flights.

    Enhanced Services from Geneva

SWISS will provide a variety of 21 short- and medium-haul destinations from Geneva in its winter timetable. Travelers from London, Lisbon, Porto, and Athens will have ample flight options.

The airline will continue the non-stop service to Hamburg inaugurated this summer. For winter sports enthusiasts, convenient flight schedules from Geneva to the United Kingdom and Scandinavia are available.
