The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has banned U.S. airlines from flying to Haiti for thirty days. This measure was taken after a Spirit aircraft was struck by gunfire from gangs while approaching the runway. In this incident, only one cabin crew member sustained minor injuries, and passengers were unharmed. Following investigations, American Airlines and JetBlue confirmed they had also experienced similar attacks.

American, JetBlue, and Spirit previously offered flights from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and New York-JFK to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

Flight schedule between Cap-Haïtien (CAP) and Miami (MIA)

    Resumes on November 20, 2024

    • Flight S6 608: CAP 10:00 – MIA 11:50 Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
    • Flight S6 609: MIA 07:00 – CAP 08:50 Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

According to the airline’s reservation system, the route will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft featuring 12 seats in Business Class and 138 seats in Economy.
