Southwest plans to resume operations to and from Fort Lauderdale after 22 months. According to current information, the carrier intends to have a daily frequency between the two airports.

In addition, on March 12th the airline schedules to resume operations between Chicago-Midway and Punta Cana. In contrast to Fort Lauderdale, flights are planned to be once a week on Boeing 737-700 aircraft.

This schedule to Punta Cana (Chicago and Fort Lauderdale) will complement the present operations from Baltimore, one of Southwest Airlines’ most important hubs. These flights have a frequency of eight weekly operations.
