Singapore Airlines launches non-stop flights to Brussels

After two decades, Singapore Airlines is resuming its operation in Belgium with the launch of non-stop flights between Changi Airport and Brussels. This new scheduled passenger service will be available year-round and will complement the company’s existing cargo operations.

The carrier was scheduled to return to Brussels in October 2020, but these plans were cancelled in the wake of the COVID-19 health crisis. The Belgian capital is a strategic destination for diplomatic and leisure traveler traffic. Customers from Belgium will be able to access the airline’s extensive network in Australia, New Zealand, Mainland China, East Asia and Southeast Asia.

The new service to Brussels brings the number of European destinations in the airline’s network to 13, representing the airline’s continued recovery in the airline’s European commercial sector. Singapore Airlines currently operates flights to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Copenhagen, Rome-Fiumicino, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London-Heathrow, Manchester, Munich, Milan-Malpensa and Zurich.

Flight schedule between Singapore and Brussels

• Singapore – Brussels Flight SQ 304 SIN 23:55 – BRU 07:20+1 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
• Brussels – Singapore Flight SQ 303 BRU 12:10 – SIN 06:55+1 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The route will be operated with the long-haul variant of the Airbus A350-900, which has 253 seats in three cabin classes: 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class and 187 in Economy Class.

The return of Singapore Airlines passenger flights marks an important milestone in Brussels Airport’s connectivity with Asia-Pacific. Previously, Thai Airways had a non-stop flight from Bangkok and Cathay Pacific a service from Hong Kong, for the time being both carriers have not returned to the Belgian capital.

35 years of cargo operations

Singapore Airlines began its dedicated cargo operations at Brussels Airport on September 4, 1988. Today, 35 years later, the airline is still present as a major cargo partner. Today, the airline offers five weekly flights between Singapore and Brussels with some stopovers in the Middle East.

The company offers its customers the transport of various types of cargo. From the United States, it moves electronics, perishables and general cargo. From Brussels, it moves pharmaceuticals and oversized cargo, large machinery and machine parts needed in Asia.
