Second GOL/Mercado Livre Boeing 737 freighter now flying in China
The second Boeing 737-800BCF jet in Gol Linhas Aéreas’ fleet has had its freighter conversion apparently completed in China, departing for its first test flight after that process was completed. Data from the Radarbox platform shows that the aircraft made a flight in the Shanghai region on September 1.
As reported by our partner media Aeroin, the aircraft in question has serial number 34279 and provisional registration N272GE. It was manufactured in 2006 and previously flew with Gol as PR-GTF. When it returns to Brazil it will be registered as PS-GFB.
By the end of 2023, Gol will have six aircraft converted into freighters, which will be employed in a partnership signed with Mercado Livre. According to the agreement between the companies, this number could increase to 12 freighters by 2025.
