    Scandinavian Airlines will exceed the 5,000 weekly flights mark on more than two hundred routes for its northern summer season 2023 schedule. The company forecasts that demand for domestic and international travel will continue to increase.

    The company will strengthen its operations in the Mediterranean region by adding a fourth destination to Croatia. Between Scandinavia and Italy, the company will offer up to 156 weekly flights, plus new routes from Oslo (OSL), Copenhagen (CPH) and Bergen (BGO).

    SAS will strengthen its domestic operation by increasing capacity on the Aalborg (AAL) – Copenhagen (CPH) and Aarhus (AAR) – Copenhagen (CPH) routes offering eight and five flights, respectively. The company is also increasing connectivity in Stockholm (ARN) by expanding its Swedish city services to Luleå, Gothenburg and Umeå.

    «We are pleased to present our schedule for this summer and are pleased to see a continued increase in travel demand. The summer offering includes several new destinations, as well as expanded capacity to existing popular summer destinations,» said Erik Westman, EVP & CCO, Network and Revenue Management.

    New SAS routes for the 2023 summer season

    • Oslo (OSL): Antalya (AYT), Florence (FLR), Catania (CTA), Venice (VCE), Larnaca (LCA) and Stuttgart (STR).
    • Bergen (BGO): Milan – Malpensa (MXP) and Nice (NCE).
    • Stockholm (ARN): Antalya (AYT), Ibiza (IBZ), Montpellier (MPL) and Vaasa (VAA).
    • Copenhagen (CPH): Antalya (AYT), Haugesund (HAU), Newquay (NQY), Porto (OPO), Zadar (ZAD) and New York (JFK).
    • Trondheim (TRD): Haugesund (HAU).

    SAS’ intercontinental offer comprises the following destinations: Boston (BOS), Chicago O’ Hare (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), Newark (EWR), San Francisco (SFO), Washington – Dulles (IAD), Toronto (YYZ) and Shanghai (PVG). A total of more than 170 flights per week will be operated to these destinations.
