    The Irish low-cost enabled new maintenance facilities at Seville-San Pablo International Airport (SVQ) in Spain, creating 250 new jobs including engineers, mechanics and licensed support staff, which will bring Ryanair’s local workforce to 500 by 2023.

    Ryanair has invested more than €30 million in the 20,000 m 2 expansion of its two hangars since opening in 2019, making it possible to maintain five aircraft simultaneously.

    With more than 2,500 engineers throughout Europe, Ryanair Line Maintenance Engineering is responsible for all aircraft maintenance activities, ensuring that the company’s aircraft in every part of the Old Continent.

    Ryanair has carried more than 22 million passengers in Seville since they landed in 2003, playing a vital role in the recovery of traffic and tourism in Seville and Andalusia.

    «With this state-of-the-art facility and 4 aircraft based in the summer of 2022 that offer 53 routes to 13 countries, Ryanair is supporting and positioning Seville for a strong recovery, and we look forward to continued growth in local tourism, traffic and employment,» said Eddie Wilson.

    Ryanair is Seville’s main airline with 256,000 monthly seats and more than 1,300 flights, its main rival is Vueling which has the same offering as the Irish low cost.

    For the upcoming 2022 boreal summer season they will add to their network Agadir (AGA), Oujda (OUD), and Tetouan (TTU) in Morocco; Billund (BLL) in Denmark; Frankfurt (FRA) in Germany; Tenerife /(TFS) in Spain and Turin (TRN) in Italy.
