Pilatus expands in the United States
Pilatus purchased Skytech Inc. which operates as an independent sales and service center for the Swiss brand in the United States. Skytech was founded in 1976 and began operating as an agent for Pilatus in 1993.
Despite the purchase, it will continue to operate as an independent company, responsible for selling and supporting PC-24s and PC-12s on the East Coast. The Skytech brand will continue to exist and will be able to continue to service aircraft from other manufacturers. Justin Lazzeri, CEO of Skytech, will remain in charge of the company. All employees, including those with many years of service, will continue to work for the company. Finally, Skytech’s two bases, located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Baltimore, Maryland, are included in the purchase.

Markus Bucher, CEO of Pilatus, commented during the contract signing on the importance of the U.S. market for the manufacturer. «The U.S. market is key for us. It is essential that we continue to expand our footprint there. I am delighted to have the company and its staff on board with us, and we welcome them to the family.»
This acquisition will enable Pilatus to expand its direct involvement in the U.S. market, which is of great importance to the company. The manufacturer already has a subsidiary in Colorado, which has been active for 26 years. Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd acts as an importer and final assembly line (FAL) for North and South America. It is also responsible for managing the network of authorized sales and service centers, of which Skytech is a part. Pilatus will use the acquisition of the latter to ensure the continuity and quality of its customer service on the East Coast of the United States.
