The introduction of the A350-1000 will reduce carbon emissions and noise compared to previous generation aircraft. The airline will also introduce new cabin products in all its classes, which will be available on all international flights.

The Japanese carrier has an order for 13 A350-1000s to replace its entire fleet of Boeing 777-300ERs, the first two of which will be delivered this year. In addition to New York (JFK), this aircraft will be introduced on other routes in North America and Europe.

Japan Airlines will optimize its services at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), moving its operations on May 28, 2023, from Terminal 1 to Terminal 8, used by its business partner on transpacific routes American Airlines. This will improve connection times for flights operated by American within the United States and cities in Central and South America.
