As part of its cabin refurbishment, Lufthansa takes delivery of its first Airbus A350-900 (D-AIXT) with new Allegris seats. The inaugural flight used 17% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). More than 80 new Boeing 787-9, Boeing 777-9 and Airbus A350 aircraft will have the new Allegris seats, as well as the Boeing 747-8I fleet.

Flight LH9861 took off on April 13 from the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France at 14:20 local time and landed at Munich Airport at 15:47, after one hour and 27 minutes. The first A350 routes with Allegria cabins are Munich-Vancouver and Munich-Toronto, with more routes to be introduced later this year.

A350s with Allegris cabins have 267 seats in four classes with 4 First Class, 38 Business Class, 24 Premium Economy and 201 in Economy. Next year its sister airlines SWISS and Edelweiss will renew their long-haul fleet with the addition of the Airbus A350.
