Scoot, Singapore Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary, will provide service from Gatwick to Bangkok (BKK) twice weekly on Boeing 787 Dreamliner, originating from Singapore (SIN).

Norse Atlantic Airways announced its operations at Gatwick after securing slots at the airport, the airline expects to start flights to the United States by summer with affordable fares.

Air Transat will begin flying to Gatwick from two Canadian cities of Montreal (YUL) and Quebec (YQB) from May 2 and 11, respectively, in addition to its existing service to Toronto (YYZ). The new route to Quebec (YQB) will be the only non-stop flight between London and the Canadian city.

British Airways will launch a daily service to Pakistan to Islamabad (ISB) from March 27 and resumes the route to New York (JFK) from May 28, 2022, while partner Qatar Airways restores its service to Gatwick from Doha (DOH) with a daily flight from June 5.

A wide range of long-haul routes to holiday destinations from Gatwick operated by British Airways, TUI Airways, WestJet and Air Transat will also be available including Tampa (TPA), Phuket (HKT), Mauritius (MRU) and Doha (DOH), Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), Antigua (ANU) and Kingston (KIN).

«Adding locations such as Bangkok, Quebec, Montreal and Islamabad to the fantastic selection of long-haul routes from Gatwick is great news for our passengers, including tourists and businesses across the Southeast» said Stephanie Wear, vice president of aviation development at Gatwick Airport.

«The additions of Scoot and Norse Atlantic to the Gatwick family highlight Gatwick’s importance to airlines and we are equally delighted to welcome Qatar Airways back to the airport this summer as well. As we look to return to growth following the impacts of the pandemic. We look forward to adding more long-haul routes to our range of destinations and continuing to reconnect people and places around the world,» Wear added.
