    JetBlue expands its services in Puerto Rico with the scheduling of new year-round operating routes between Raleigh/Durham (RDU) – San Juan (SJU) and Tampa (TPA) – Aguadilla (BQN).

    «This growth will increase competition and choice for customers traveling to and from Puerto Rico and for travelers in Raleigh and Tampa, while building on our commitment to supporting tourism on the island and connecting family and friends«, said Robin Hayes, JetBlue’s chief executive officer.

    JetBlue is currently the leading airline in Puerto Rico in terms of seats per seat kilometers (ASK) with a 27% market share according to data obtained through Cirium. The company operates 35 daily flights from Puerto Rico to the United States and the Caribbean.

The expanded network connects two of Puerto Rico’s major airports with key markets in the continental United States, giving travelers even more options to explore and enjoy the diversity available on the island«, said Carlos Mercado Santiago, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.

    The scheduling of the new routes coincides with the company’s 21st anniversary in San Juan (SJU). In Puerto Rico, JetBlue has a focus city at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) and offers nonstop service to Aguadilla (BQN) and Ponce (PSE).

    With the introduction of Raleigh/Durham (RDU), the company will now have service between Puerto Rico and 12 cities in the United States and the Caribbean. With the merger between JetBlue and Spirit, the company plans to offer greater opportunities for growth on the Caribbean island with more affordable travel options.

    JetBlue’s Raleigh-San Juan Schedule

    Starts July 5.

    • Raleigh/Durham – San Juan Flight B6 2929 RDU 09:00 – SJU 12:35 daily flights.
    • San Juan – Raleigh/Durham Flight B6 2730 SJU 13:45 – RDU 17:30 daily flights.

    JetBlue operates 30 daily flights at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) and has nonstop service to Hartford (BDL), Boston (BOS), Washington – National (DCA), Newark (EWR), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), New York (JFK), Orlando (MCO), Punta Cana (PUJ), Santo Domingo (SDQ), St. Thomas (STT) and Tampa (TPA).

    JetBlue’s schedule between Tampa and Aguadilla

    Starts July 5.

    • Tampa – Aguadilla Flight B6 2768 TPA 12:05 – BQN 14:57 daily flights.
    • Aguadilla – Tampa Flight B6 2769 BQN 15:50 – TPA 18:36 daily flights.

    JetBlue has three daily flights at Rafael Hernández International Airport (BQN) and offers nonstop service to New York (JFK) and Orlando (MCO).

    Fares and in-flight service

    The new routes to Puerto Rico will be operated on Airbus A320 aircraft offering free Fly – Fi, high-speed internet, free refreshments, free seat-back entertainment and a spacious seat. Promotional fares are available starting at $99 USD each way.
