As part of the ITB Berlin 2023 travel trade fair, Eurowings has announced an increase in the range of destinations on offer at Brandenburg Airport (BER) for the Easter vacations and the summer season. Germany‘s largest leisure airline will offer non-stop service to 30 cities from the German capital, doubling its offering compared to last year.

As part of the airline’s increased schedule, Eurowings is expanding its Nordic operations with new services to Gothenburg (GOT), Stockholm – Arlanda (ARN) and Helsinki (HEL) from the end of March. In Southern Europe the company will be offering new routes from Berlin (BER) to Ibiza (IBZ), Nice (NCE), Porto (OPO), Graz (GRZ), Zakynthos (ZTH) and Malaga (AGP).

On the Balearic Islands, it will strengthen the operation in Palma de Mallorca (PMI), the most popular destination in the company’s international network, the airline will provide 20 flights a week between Brandenburg Airport (BER) and PMI. Also, the company will offer an extensive offering in the Canary Islands with non-stop services to Fuerteventura (FUE), Gran Canaria (LPA), Lanzarote (ACE) and Tenerife – South (TFS).

«As Germany’s largest vacation airline, we belong to the capital, because it is an absolute magnet for tourists and one of the most exciting metropolises in Europe. But we also bring a lot to the capital. Passengers from Berlin and Brandenburg can look forward to numerous new Eurowings destinations that are at the top of German tourists’ wish lists,» said Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings.

With a nearly 130% increase in seat capacity, the German leisure airline is reacting to the withdrawal of some international competitors in the German market during the pandemic. In doing so, the company is consolidating its operations in Berlin and will base six aircraft at Brandenburg Airport (BER).
