Sentrycs, a leading Israeli provider of advanced counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS), has been awarded a multi-million-dollar contract in an undisclosed Latin American country for a national defense project. This deal marks a major milestone, making it the largest anti-drone system deployment in the region and showcasing Sentrycs' technological capabilities in addressing the growing threats posed by drones in high-risk environments.
Strengthening National Security with Advanced C-UAS Systems
The first phase of the contract involves deploying multiple advanced C-UAS systems to enhance airspace security in critical areas, including:
- Military bases
- Special operations forces
- VIP convoys
- National borders
A key focus of this project is combatting drug trafficking and organized crime, where drones have increasingly been used for smuggling and surveillance operations.

Possible Chilean Connection
While Sentrycs has not disclosed its client, a July 30, 2024, announcement on its website revealed that its adaptive protocol analysis C-UAS technology had been chosen to protect a port in Latin America from drug trafficking. The press release's cover image featured the port of Valparaíso, Chile, suggesting that the recently awarded contract may have been issued by Chile’s Ministry of Defense.
