This represents an increase of about 6,000 travelers compared to the same period in 2024. Airlines like Avianca, Wingo, and JetSMART have added more flights to meet demand.

    Travel Tips for Passengers

Airport authorities have shared some recommendations to help travelers have a smooth experience:

    • Traveling with pets: Make sure you have the required documentation from the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) and notify your airline at least 48 hours in advance.
    • Arrive early: Get to the airport two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international flights.
    • Documents: Keep your ID handy and check travel requirements in advance.
    • Entry conditions: Find out if your destination requires a visa, vaccination certificates, or other documents.
    • Traveling with minors: For international flights, you must present an original birth certificate and a valid passport.
    • Carry-on luggage: Avoid packing sharp objects, aerosols, or flammable substances. For international flights, liquids must be in containers of up to 100 milliliters.
    • Checked baggage: Check your airline’s baggage policies and label your luggage properly.
    • Weather conditions: Check the forecast at meteorologia.aerocivil.gov.co to anticipate any delays.
    • Operational changes: Stay updated on schedule or terminal changes through airline notifications.
    • Security regulations: Follow instructions from airport staff and comply with regulations.
    • Official sources: Get the latest updates from the official Civil Aeronautics channels and social media.
