Iberojet is expanding its footprint in Latin America with the launch of a direct service between Madrid-Barajas and Querétaro, marking the only direct connection between the two cities, according to a report from Visión Empresarial Querétaro.
While the start date and flight schedule have not yet been announced, the route will be operated using Airbus A350 aircraft.
The new route has the support of the Secretariat of Tourism of the State of Querétaro, which aims to connect Europe with central regions of Mexico.
“The opening of the Madrid–Querétaro route represents more than just a new flight; it’s a commitment to bringing cultures closer, facilitating economic exchange, and diversifying access to Mexico from Europe,” said Mario Domínguez, Iberojet’s Commercial Director for Scheduled Flights.
Querétaro will be Iberojet’s second destination in Mexico, in addition to its existing services to Cancún from Madrid, Barcelona, and Lisbon. The leisure airline will collaborate with tour operators from the Ávoris group, including Travelplan and CATAI.
