Heavy storm in Buenos Aires caused damage at Ezeiza airport

This Thursday, after midday, a severe storm over the south of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires caused damages in several sectors of Ezeiza International Airport.
Wind gusts of more than 80 km/h damaged the roof in the check-in areas of Terminal C and broke the glass in Terminal A, causing large amounts of water to enter these areas.
Aeropuertos Argentina 2000, the airport administrator, informed that the situation has been normalized and that there were no wet floors. Also, the operation was not affected, there were no delays or cancellations and there were no injuries or damages to passengers or workers.
The maintenance area of Ezeiza airport was another sector where videos of the impact of the storm were broadcast, with rain falling on an Aerolíneas Argentinas Airbus A330 inside the company’s Hangar 5.

A preserved Aerolineas Argentinas Boeing 737-800 (LV-GGQ) also suffered the impact of a ladder on its nose. Other than that, no further damage to infrastructure, aircraft or company workers was reported.
Through Whatsapp groups and social networks, several photos and videos circulated that reflected the impact of the storm.
