GOL has been gradually recovering its international connections, although it is a long way from pre-pandemic levels. After resuming flights to Buenos Aires, Argentina, the company confirmed the return of its operations to Asunción, Paraguay, and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.

On December 19, GOL had restarted its most important international market when flight G3 7692 landed at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery from Florianópolis, and a few hours later two other services from Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro followed.

GOL has concentrated its recovery on the domestic market, which has been showing good growth. Nevertheless, it decided to leave aside the international market due to the uneven governmental restrictions that have been affecting demand. That is why only at the end of 2021 it resumed operations to only 4 destinations abroad: Montevideo (MVD) in Uruguay; Cancun in Mexico; Buenos Aires in Argentina and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

No information has been provided by GOL at the time of this writing regarding possible return dates to Quito (UIO) in Ecuador; Cordoba (COR), Mendoza (MDZ), Bariloche (BRC), and Rosario (ROS) in Argentina; Lima (LIM) in Peru and Santiago (SCL) in Chile.
