This acquisition brings the total number of 737-800SFs ordered by the company to twelve. The conversion will be performed by Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI). Work will commence in early 2022 and continue through 2023 and will be performed at AEI’s conversion centers in the United States and other countries.

Marc Cho, President of LIFT Group (an in-house division of GA Telesis) noted that «we have an aggressive growth strategy since we successfully launched our first conversion over a year ago. Moving forward, we will be looking to incorporate other aircraft models for our cargo airline customers around the world.» On the other hand, David Ellis, Senior Vice President of Telesis ATG, said, «We will continue to grow our portfolio of narrow-body freighter aircraft».

AEI is one of the world leaders in the area of passenger-to-freighter conversion. It is the oldest conversion company, founded in 1958. Since its origins, AEI has developed more than 130 supplemental certificates. In total, it has completed conversion tasks on more than 535 aircraft.
