On the afternoon of Nov 3, a rumor that had been circulating for some weeks was officially announced: Flybondi’s Boeing 737-800 LV-HKN, which is currently in Mexico for a scheduled check-up, will return to Argentina tomorrow Nov 4, featuring a new livery on its vertical and tail rudder.

The new livery was featured in this video:

The design emphasizes the incorporation of Argentinian culture, fauna, and flora. It will be gradually applied to the rest of the fleet as scheduled check-ups are performed, so it is intended to coexist with the current livery.

To accomplish this, several stickers representing each destination currently operated by the airline were selected.

    The stickers chosen are:

    • Bariloche: Hotel «Llao Llao».
    • Buenos Aires: Obelisco and Puente de las Mujeres.
    • Corrientes: Capybaras by the «Estero del Ibera».
    • Cordoba: Arch of Cordoba.
    • Jujuy: Mount of the 7 colors.
    • Mendoza: Vineyards.
    • Neuquén: Andean mountains of Neuquén.
    • Posadas: Toucans at the «missionary jungle».
    • Puerto Iguazu: Iguazu Falls.
    • Trelew: Whales and penguins in «Puerto Piramides».
    • Tucumán: The Historic House of Independence.
    • Salta: Llama and Cardones representing «Los Cardones National Park».
    • Santiago del Estero: El Jume wind energy park.
    • Ushuaia: Lighthouse of the End of the World or lighthouse of San Juan de Salvamento.

The company is in the process of revamping its destinations. During the pandemic, it was operating with only one Boeing 737. In the summer, Flybondi is looking for reaching five aircraft, in order to meet the high demand, the return of its international flights, and new routes.

Flybondi had also announced today Ushuaia as its 14th destination within Argentina, and in the last few weeks did the same with Florianopolis, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, and Punta del Este in Uruguay.

Subject to demand, the company plans to expand its network and fleet by 2022. The ultra-low-cost airline recently hired more than twenty pilots.
