The Argentine Aircraft Factory "Brigadier San Martín" S.A. (FAdeA) has announced the completion of a maintenance operation on an Airbus A320 belonging to JetSMART Airlines. The work was carried out by the Commercial MRO Business Unit of the Argentine state-owned company at its facilities in Córdoba.
The aircraft involved, registered as CC-AWE, is an Airbus A320-232 operated by the Chilean branch of the ultra low-cost airline. FAdeA stated that "the intervention met high technical standards," which, according to the company, demonstrates "the expertise of our personnel and the capabilities of our facilities."

This service is part of FAdeA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its role in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector for commercial aircraft in the region. The state-owned company aims to establish itself as a key provider for airlines operating in the Southern Cone.
In its announcement, FAdeA emphasized that through such actions, it continues to consolidate its position "as a strategic player in commercial aircraft maintenance, reinforcing the development of the regional aviation hub." Based in Córdoba, the company serves both civil and military clients, leveraging its specialized technical workforce and infrastructure.
FAdeA’s Commercial MRO Business Unit recently carried out its first direct maintenance task on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the airline Flybondi.

The operation, conducted at the end of April 2025, focused on addressing a reported issue in the aircraft’s fuel system. This initial task came as part of a new cooperation agreement between FAdeA and Flybondi, under which the Córdoba-based factory will provide comprehensive maintenance support for the airline’s 737 NG fleet.
