The cargo division of Emirates signed a leasing agreement with Compass Group to operate the two Boeing 747s. This strategic partnership, building on a long-standing collaboration, enables the immediate addition of capacity to address growing global demand. Compass Group’s expertise in fleet management further enhances Emirates SkyCargo's operational efficiency.

At the same time, Emirates SkyCargo received the first Boeing 777 freighter specifically manufactured for the airline. During 2024, it also integrated two additional Boeing 777Fs, primarily deployed for transporting e-commerce shipments from Asian markets.

Currently, the carrier operates a fleet of 16 freighters, including ten Boeing 777Fs and six Boeing 747s under wet lease. Additionally, the airline has placed orders for 13 more Boeing 777Fs, with deliveries scheduled between 2025 and 2026. This expansion will increase the dedicated freighter fleet to 21 aircraft.

In addition to its dedicated freighter operations, Emirates SkyCargo is leveraging its commercial fleet to expand cargo capacity. The arrival of new Airbus A350s, offering up to 12 tons of capacity in their holds, highlights the airline’s focus on maximizing its operational versatility.

With these developments, Emirates SkyCargo strengthens its global network, which already spans 38 dedicated cargo routes. This growth supports the airline's broader strategy to position Dubai as a key global logistics hub and prepares for a sustained rise in air cargo demand.
