Emirates has scheduled for the 2023-2024 winter season to introduce Premium Economy service to two destinations on its network. São Paulo-Guarulhos will be the fifth point on the airline’s network in the Americas to offer flights with the new cabin class, while Tokyo-Narita becomes the second East Asian city to offer the latest cabin product.

The airline continues to accelerate the cabin upgrade process by extending the new product to more routes across its network. Sao Paulo will become the 13th city Emirates will operate with its upgraded Airbus A380, while Tokyo-Narita will be the 14th destination to offer Premium Economy.

In addition to incorporating the new cabin products, the upgraded aircraft on these routes also feature upgraded interiors that provide an elevated cabin experience.

Starting November 19, the Dubai-San Pablo route will have Premium Economy service available initially three times a week and will be extended to daily flights in December. Service to and from Tokyo-Narita will be available with the new cabin product from December 20 with a daily connection.

The aircraft with a four-class configuration features 56 seats in Premium Economy, located at the front of the main deck and in a 2-4-2 configuration, in addition to the 338 seats in Economy, 76 in Business Class and 14 in First Class.

The Premium Economy offering has become quite popular on the ten routes where they are currently available, and with increased travel demand, more passengers are expected to seek a premium travel experience at an affordable price. Since the addition of Emirates’ new cabin a year ago, more than 160,000 passengers have upgraded from flying Economy to Premium Economy.

Emirates’ current schedule with A380s with Premium Economy seats includes services to London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Houston-Intercontinental, San Francisco, plus Mumbai and Bangalore will be added from October 29.

The new product is popular with leisure and business travelers, solo travelers and families, among others, who are looking to experience a more comfortable and enjoyable journey. Premium Economy passengers can opt for a number of features, such as deluxe seating, more legroom, premium meals and beverages, among other benefits.

On the upgraded aircraft, the revamped interiors feature Emirates’ signature ghaf tree, as well as improved aesthetics, designs and new color palettes, evident throughout the aircraft.
