EasyJet to Fly to Cairo for the First Time in its History

For the first time in its history, EasyJet will operate regular flights to Cairo, Egypt, which will be its 157th destination.
The inaugural flight is scheduled for the upcoming 31st of October, and initially, the low-cost airline will operate three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from London-Luton airport.
«We are delighted to be launching flights for the very first time to Cairo which further strengthens our unrivalled short-haul network from the UK and this continues to demonstrate our confidence in the resilient strength of demand for travel from the UK,» said Ali Gayward, Country Manager for EasyJet in the UK.
Cairo will also be a new destination accessible from London-Luton airport, given that, up to now, the capital of Egypt has only been connected to London by flights from British Airways and Egyptair out of Heathrow airport (both with two daily flights).
EasyJet already has a presence in Africa with flights to Agadir, Hurgada, Enfidha, Marrakech, and Sharm el-Sheikh from various European bases like London-Luton, London-Gatwick, Manchester, Basel, Bristol, Geneva, Bristol, Milan, and Paris-CDG.
