Delta Extends Tampa–Amsterdam Route Through Summer 2025

Delta Air Lines announced that its direct route between Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) will operate throughout the entire summer season of 2025, with an extension lasting until October. The route, which was initially scheduled to end in March 2025, had already been extended through May and is now confirmed to operate beyond the originally planned timeframe.

According to Tampa International Airport management, flights between Tampa and Amsterdam will continue to operate four times a week starting in April 2025, with departures on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This service connects Tampa Bay passengers to a major European hub, facilitating access to over 100 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India thanks to Delta’s transatlantic alliance with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, a SkyTeam member.

A Strategic Return

This route, which Delta resumed in October 2024 after a five-year hiatus, has shown favorable results in its initial performance, prompting the decision to extend it. «The extension of this flight underscores its strategic importance in connecting Tampa with Europe and beyond» airport representatives noted.

The flights will be operated using Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with a capacity of 282 passengers distributed across different classes: 34 lie-flat seats in the Delta One cabin, 21 seats in Premium Select, and a 2-4-2 configuration in the Comfort+ and Economy sections.

Schedules and Connectivity

The flights are scheduled to arrive in Tampa in the afternoon and depart in the evening, offering travelers the convenience of landing in the Netherlands early the next morning.
