    Delta Airlines returns to the Swedish capital for the 2022 summer season, the carrier will launch seasonal service between New York (JFK) and Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) from June 1 through October 28, it will be the carrier’s second destination in Scandinavia after Copenhagen (CPH), the schedule is as follows:

    Flight Itinerary:

    • New York – Stockholm Flight DL204 JFK 19:30 – ARN 09:30+1 flights daily.
    • Stockholm – New York Flight DL205 ARN 11:30 – JFK 14:10 flights daily.

    The flights will be operated on Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with renovated cabins configured as follows: 26 Delta One seats, 18 Premium Select, 21 Delta Comfort+ and 151 in economy class. The carrier’s last operation in Sweden was in September 2017 on Boeing 757-200s.

    Delta Airlines will compete against a number of airlines in the New York – Stockholm sector. Finnair will offer daily flights on 336-seat Airbus A350-900s between Arlanda and New York (JFK) and from Newark (EWR) are joined by United Airlines with daily flights on Boeing 757-200s and Scandinavian Airlines on Airbus A330-300s.

    New York is the main U.S. destination from Stockholm. Figures obtained by Aviacionline through Swedavia Airports indicate that 278,620 passengers were mobilized between Newark (ERW) and JFK in 2019. Arlanda was previously one of the bases of the former Norwegian Long Haul, and following its departure, several foreign operators have jumped at the chance to take its place during the summer of 2022.

    Following the post-Covid recovery, Delta will significantly increase operations in the transatlantic market including resuming destinations, launching new routes,00 and increasing frequencies to major European capitals, offering 30 daily flights from New York (JFK).
