As part of its growth strategy for summer 2025, Delta Air Lines has launched two new seasonal routes from Boston to Spain and Italy, expanding its European offering to ten destinations and solidifying Logan International Airport as its third-largest transatlantic hub after New York-JFK and Atlanta.

On May 22, Delta inaugurated its new Boston–Barcelona route with three weekly flights, complementing its existing services from New York-JFK and Atlanta. This brings the airline’s total to 25 weekly flights between the U.S. and the Catalan capital. In this segment, Delta competes with low-cost carrier LEVEL, as well as Iberia and JetBlue, which also connect Spain to Boston.

A day later, on May 23, the Atlanta-based airline enhanced its Italy network by launching direct service from Boston to Milan with four weekly flights. This new connection complements Delta’s existing flights to Rome-Fiumicino. In total, Delta will offer over 12,000 weekly seats between the U.S. and Milan Malpensa Airport, making it the only airline providing nonstop service between the two cities.

In 2024, Delta rolled out its largest-ever transatlantic summer schedule, adding new routes from hubs in New York-JFK, Boston, Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis. Currently, the airline operates up to 160 daily flights to 63 destinations from Boston, including 13 international routes.

Delta’s European services from Boston include:
