Binter has announced it will operate one in every five domestic flights to the Canary Islands this summer, as part of the largest seasonal schedule in the airline’s history. With 32 direct routes from 18 Spanish cities, the company positions itself as the airline with the most direct domestic connections to the Canary Islands.

Since March 30, Binter has launched eight new routes and increased frequencies on several existing connections. According to the airline, this expansion represents a 38% increase in seat capacity to the islands from its domestic destinations.

    New routes and Tenerife expansion

Between March 30 and April 1, the airline launched direct flights from the Canaries to four new Spanish destinations: Valencia, Córdoba, Almería, and Badajoz. The Valencia (VLC) route features 16 weekly flights, with double frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, offering nearly 84,000 seats in total.

On April 1, Binter began routes connecting Gran Canaria (LPA) with Córdoba (OBD), Almería (LEI), and Badajoz (BJZ), each operating twice weekly—on Tuesdays and Saturdays—with around 20,900 seats available per route.

The airline has also strengthened its presence in Tenerife, adding new connections from seven cities and increasing frequencies on existing routes. From Tenerife North (TFN), new direct flights are now available to Pamplona (PNA), San Sebastián (EAS), Murcia (RMU), Granada (GRX), and the previously mentioned Valencia.

Starting July 1, new routes from Tenerife to Valladolid (VLL) and A Coruña (LCG) will begin, both with two weekly flights. Additional frequencies will also be added to destinations such as Mallorca (PMI), Vigo (VGO), Asturias (OVD), Zaragoza (ZAZ), Granada (GRX), and Pamplona (PNA).

Internationally, Binter has inaugurated a new route connecting the Canaries with Ponta Delgada (PDL) in Portugal’s Azores archipelago, which will operate once weekly.

    Island connectivity and onboard service

One of the pillars of this expansion, according to the airline, is enhanced connectivity with non-capital islands, offering free inter-island connections for passengers on domestic flights. Binter operates more than 220 inter-island flights daily, allowing connections to all Canary Islands airports while maintaining competitive pricing.

The airline also highlights that all fares include cabin baggage, complimentary gourmet snacks, and free connecting flights within the Canary Islands.

    Additional tourism products

Binter offers two inter-island tourism products for passengers traveling from domestic and international destinations: Discover Stopover and AirPass Explorer, which allow travelers to explore multiple islands at reduced rates. Both are available via the airline’s official website.
