Avion Express Opens 250 Pilot Positions with Focus on Latin America

Avion Express is launching its annual recruitment campaign to hire 250 new pilots. The company, a global provider of ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) services and part of the Avia Solutions Group, is seeking Captains and First Officers for its worldwide operations.
The open positions are for commercial pilots holding either EASA or ICAO licenses. Avion Express exclusively operates a fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft.
Focus on Latin America
While the company maintains an established presence in Europe, with crews from nearly all EASA member states, this year's campaign places a particular focus on Latin America. Target regions include Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Argentina, among other countries. This Southern Hemisphere Summer Season, Avion Express will place again at least five A320 with the Argentine-based low-cost Carrier Flybondi.
This recruitment drive addresses the operational capacity needed to meet growing demand during both summer and winter periods. Kristina Mateikaite-Riepsiene, Head of Crew Recruitment at Avion Express, explained in a statement that the company's activity "increases in Europe during the summer and shifts toward Latin America and Asia in winter".
The specifics of ACMI operations
According to the company, the ACMI model offers pilots the opportunity to fly diverse routes and operate from different airports by working with multiple partner airlines globally.
For ICAO license holders, the company indicates the ACMI model facilitates starting the license conversion process, for which Avion Express provides support. Pilots often operate from bases abroad during their rosters, followed by several days off at home.
The recruitment campaign uses the slogan "We take care of you. We take care of everything". Mateikaite-Riepsiene noted this reflects that operational aspects, such as "transfers, accommodation, training, and logistical support, are handled efficiently, allowing pilots to focus fully on their core task - flying".
Avion Express is the largest ACMI operator worldwide by number of flights and is part of the Avia Solutions Group, which has a fleet of 187 aircraft. To strengthen its position, the company established subsidiaries like Avion Express Malta in 2019 and Avion Express Brasil in 2025.
