Avianca expands its Business Class Americas to over 80 routes
Avianca extends its Business Class Americas service to over 80 international routes from Bogotá, Medellín, and San Salvador, with new options launching in September.
Starting in September, Avianca will extend its Business Class Americas offering to more than 80 international routes across the American continent. The premium service, operated on Airbus A320 aircraft, will include destinations from Bogotá, Medellín, and San Salvador to numerous cities throughout the region.
The airline announced that tickets are already available on its website and official sales channels. According to Avianca, the expansion is a response to strong passenger demand since the product's relaunch in 2024, following its 2022 suspension when the airline attempted to unify services under a single model.
“A year ago, we brought back the Business Class experience on 11 routes within the Americas from Bogotá. The response from our passengers was immediate, so we added 23 more routes in December. Today, I’m thrilled to extend the service to all our international routes from Bogotá, Medellín, and San Salvador,” said Avianca CEO Frederico Pedreira.
“Thanks to the more than 500,000 customers who have trusted our Business Class product, and to the teams who made it possible. This clearly shows that we listen to our customers and have a flexible model that meets the needs of every segment—because at Avianca, the sky belongs to everyone,” he added.
The Business Class Americas experience includes premium seating with extra space and recline in the first three rows, power outlets, onboard entertainment accessible via personal devices, and a baggage allowance that includes one personal item, one carry-on up to 10 kg, and two checked bags of 32 kg each. Passengers also enjoy priority services (check-in, boarding, and baggage handling), access to Avianca Lounges, and LifeMiles accrual.
