    On November 14, Arajet inaugurated its non-stop operations between Santo Domingo (SDQ) and Kingston (KIN). This is the company’s fourth service between the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.

    Flight DM 2340 was operated in a Boeing 737 MAX with registration number HI1081 and christened «Jaragua». The aircraft took off from Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) at 17:39 local time and landed at Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) at 17:48, after one hour and eight minutes.

    «Jamaicans and Dominicans will benefit from low-cost, time-saving travel between Kingston and Santo Domingo, which bodes well for the tourism sector, trade and investment, education and culture,» said Hon. Kamina J. Smith, Jamaica’s Senator and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

    Arajet is the only airline to offer scheduled non-stop flights between the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, with this new service expected to increase tourism and trade between the two nations.

    Flight Itinerary

    • Santo Domingo – Kingston Flight DM 2340 SDQ 17:20 – KIN 17:55 Monday and Friday.
    • Kingston – Santo Domingo Flight DM 2341 KIN 18:40 – SDQ 21:05 Monday and Friday.

    The route will be operated in Boeing 737-8 aircraft with 185 seats, promotional fares are available from USD 265 round trip.

    According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, the airline will offer 2,960 weekly seats between the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. The company will offer flights to Aruba (AUA), Curaçao (CUR), St. Maarten (SXM) and now Kingston (KIN), with each service operating two flights a week.

    In December, Arajet will inaugurate operations to Bogota (BOG) and Medellin (MDE).
