The A320neo single-aisle family continues to be the cornerstone of the company's production, accounting for the vast majority of the month's deliveries. They are followed in volume by wide-body models such as the A350 and A330neo, which cater to the growing demand for long-haul flights globally. The figures were confirmed by the manufacturer in its monthly orders and deliveries report.
On the commercial front, September was a month of moderate activity, with 10 gross orders recorded. This figure is common for periods outside of major international airshows, where large purchase announcements are typically concentrated.
Airbus's net order balance for 2025, adjusted for cancellations and conversions, remains robust, reflecting market confidence in its product portfolio. To date, the company's cumulative total orders for all its programs amount to 25,135 aircraft, of which 16,470 have already been delivered.
The company's backlog of aircraft pending delivery remains at healthy levels, ensuring a full workload for its assembly lines for years to come. Airbus remains focused on increasing its production rate, especially for the A320neo family, to meet the high demand from airlines.
With the results of the first three quarters, attention now turns to the final quarter of the year, traditionally the strongest period for deliveries, to determine if Airbus will meet or exceed its 2025 forecasts.
