During the winter season, when passenger demand decreases, consistent and stable passenger movement indicators can be observed. In February, airBaltic operated 2,840 flights, 11% up when compared to 2023.

«During the first two months of 2024, we carried more than half a million passengers, which confirms our position as the airline of choice in the Baltic countries. This year, we are focusing on expanding our fleet and destinations to offer passengers a wide range of travel options, attracting great interest among travelers,» said Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic.

In the upcoming summer season, airBaltic estimates to incorporate 17 new routes: 7 from Latvia, 3 from Estonia, 4 from Lithuania, and 1 from Tampere. Also, the airline plans to increase services on existing routes from Riga to Rome, and Prague, among others, as well as from Vilnius to Paris, Munich, Tallinn, and Palanga to Riga.

In 2023, the airline handled more than 4.5 million passengers and operated more than 44,000 flights. airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally to Gran Canaria, providing connections in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
