At the peak of the upcoming summer season Melilla will be connected to Almeria (LEI), Barcelona (BCN), Granada (GRX), Gran Canarias (LPA), Madrid (MAD), Malaga (AGP), Palma de Mallorca (PMI) and Seville (SVQ).

Air Nostrum future network in Melilla.

According to the company, in the first quarter of 2022, the company is going to offer a total of 123,048 seats, which represents the aforementioned 35% increase compared to the same period of 2019 when 91,152 seats were put on sale.

Melilla is one of the airports in Spain that has mostly recovered its air traffic during 2021. Specifically, Air Nostrum in the last four months of last year offered 10% more seats than in 2019 and demand grew by 7%.

«Air Nostrum’s commitment to Melilla is clear and forceful. In the first quarter of 2022, we have not only recovered all the operations we had before the pandemic, but the total of our seats offered exceeds by 15% the overall volume of seats that existed in the market in 2019 when there was another company operating. Now the people of Melilla are better connected to the peninsula than they were three years ago», stated Carlos Bertomeu, president of Air Nostrum.
