Air Nostrum Earns Dual AENOR Certification for Penal and Tax Compliance
Air Nostrum becomes the first airline in Spain and the first company in the Valencian Community to simultaneously obtain Penal Compliance (UNE 19601) and Tax Compliance (UNE 19602) certifications, awarded by AENOR, a leading organization in conformity assessment.
This dual certification confirms that the airline has implemented proper control and monitoring systems to prevent criminal risks and ensure tax transparency, aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards and the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to Air Nostrum, the accreditation reinforces its commitment to ethical and responsible management. The airline emphasizes that its operations are conducted under the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and good corporate governance.

The UNE 19601 standard aims to minimize organizations’ exposure to criminal liability through a crime prevention system, while UNE 19602 certification recognizes the implementation of a tax compliance model that, according to AENOR, provides support in the event of tax authority inquiries or judicial proceedings.
