    Aeromexico continues to consolidate its second most important hub in Guadalajara (GDL) with the addition of domestic destinations, and as of January 17, 2022 will resume operations to Cancun (CUN).

    Flight Itinerary:

    • Guadalajara – Cancun AM588 GDL 14:40 – CUN 18:30- with daily flights operated in Boeing 737-800 NG.
    • Cancun – Guadalajara AM589 CUN 19:30 – GDL 21:25 – with daily flights operated in Boeing 737-800 NG.

    Guadalajara (GDL) – Cancun (CUN) is one of Mexico’s busiest domestic routes, data obtained by Aviacionline through the Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT) indicates that 885,881 passengers and more than 405 tons of cargo were mobilized in 5655 air operations in 2019. Aeromexico will be the only traditional operator on this route, where it will compete against low-cost airlines Volaris and Viva Aerobus.

    Aeromexico will also add other domestic destinations from Guadalajara (GDL). Starting December 15, operations to Tijuana (TIJ) will begin with daily flights operated by Boeing 737-800 and from Mexico City (MEX) will offer more than 85 weekly flights.

    The Mexican airline will inaugurate its first transatlantic service from Guadalajara (GDL) to Madrid (MAD) in December with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, while during the northern winter season it has resumed most of its international service to the United States.
