Aena's profit exceeds €893 million in a first half marked by strong growth
Aena has reported strong financial and operational performance for the first half of 2025, with a net profit of €893.8 million, representing a 10.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The company attributes these results to the continued growth in passenger traffic and the dynamism of its commercial revenues.
The Spanish airport operator, which also manages London-Luton Airport and a significant group of terminals in Brazil, achieved an EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) of €1,692.3 million, 8.8% higher than in the first half of the previous year. Total consolidated revenues grew by 9.1% to €2,995.9 million.
Passenger traffic across the entire Aena Group network (Spain, London-Luton, and Aena Brazil) saw a 4.7% increase, reaching 180.9 million travelers. Airports in Spain handled 150.6 million passengers, up 4.5% from 2024, in line with the air traffic recovery trend in Europe. The group's international operations contributed €196.4 million to the EBITDA.

On the financial side, the consolidated net financial debt stood at €5,973 million, with a debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 1.64 times. The company highlights its solid cash generation, which amounted to €1,459.9 million.
Proposed Tariff Update for 2026
The Board of Directors of Aena has approved a proposal to update its airport tariffs in 2026. The plan includes an increase equivalent to 68 euro cents per passenger, raising the Maximum Annual Revenue per Passenger to €11.03.
This adjustment, which must be supervised and approved by the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC), is broken down into 45 cents to recover arrears from 2024 and 23 cents for cost updates. The CNMC issued a resolution on July 10, declaring the update index that allows part of this increase to be applicable.
