During his four-year leadership, de Oliveira was pivotal in steering the organization through the aviation industry’s most challenging crisis. He leaves ACI World with significant achievements, including a strengthened financial foundation, an increase in operational margins, and a reduction in expenses. His tenure also saw a notable digital transformation and a clear information technology roadmap for the organization.

De Oliveira reflected on his time at ACI World, stating, «Leading ACI World as Director General has been a great honor. The mission of ACI, the impact we have on the global aviation industry, and the dedication of our staff have been incredibly inspiring. As I prepare to leave, I feel a sense of accomplishment and gratitude for the experiences and opportunities that came with this role.»

Under his leadership, de Oliveira not only focused on financial success but also enhanced the visibility and authority of airports in the aviation industry. He revitalized the Airport Management Professional Accreditation Program (AMPAP) and led ACI World to be recognized as a Great Place to Work, with a 23% increase in employee satisfaction.

Sheik Aimen Al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports and Chair of ACI World, praised de Oliveira’s leadership, saying, «Luis Felipe de Oliveira’s vision and leadership have been key to our success at ACI World. His departure will be a significant loss, but we are committed to continuing the work he started and to honor his legacy.»

Candace McGraw, CEO of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and the incoming Chair of ACI World, also acknowledged de Oliveira’s contributions, especially during a tumultuous time for the aviation industry. McGraw emphasized the importance of a collaborative transition to maintain the organization’s success.

De Oliveira’s early announcement is part of a strategy to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the organization’s stability. He expressed his gratitude to the ACI Board Members, World Business Partners, the Executive Committee, and Regional Directors, with a special mention of the ACI World team for their dedication and contribution to the organization’s goals.
