As part of its long-term expansion plan, Etihad Airways expands its network with 10 new routes. Last week, the company announced that a major announcement was coming in this regard, although no hints were given about the destinations.

The introduction of the Airbus A321LR allows for the opening of new medium-haul services, as well as increasing flights on existing routes. The Gulf airline had previously announced three destinations: El Dabaa (El Alamein) (Egypt), Prague (Czech Republic), and Warsaw (Poland).

The opening of Terminal A at Zayed International Airport will allow Abu Dhabi to consolidate its position as a global hub, competing with Dubai and Doha. This new facility has the capacity to handle up to 45 million passengers per year.

“Today, the energy at Etihad’s headquarters was electrifying as we revealed the 10 new destinations that will join our route map. We want to extend a huge thank you to all the teams working behind the scenes to plan this. Their hard work is the reason we can make it happen. Transformation has never been this fun!” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer of Etihad Airways.
