NetJets Secures $5 Billion Deal with Embraer for Up to 250 Praetor 500 Jets

NetJets, an American company that sells fractional ownership shares in private business jets, has signed a new deal with Embraer for up to 250 options of Praetor 500 jets, an acquisition valued at over $5 billion. This will be the first time NetJets offers the Praetor 500 to its customers, with deliveries beginning in 2025. For over a decade, NetJets has been operating Embraer’s Phenom 300 series, which has become one of the most successful aircraft in its fleet.

The partnership between Embraer and NetJets began in 2010, when the operator first signed a purchase contract for 50 Phenom 300 aircraft, with up to 75 additional options. In 2021, after delivering more than 100 aircraft, the companies signed a contract for up to 100 additional Phenom 300/E jets, valued at over $1.2 billion.
