The Spanish leisure company will offer 1,728 weekly seats between Tegucigalpa (XPL) and Madrid (MAD). This will be the first regular long-haul service from Palmerola International Airport.

«This new airline represents a new link between Spain and Honduras much more important than the one we already have, but it is also going to open Honduras to Spanish tourism and the European market,» said Diego Nuño García, Spanish ambassador to Honduras.

    Flight Itinerary

    • Madrid (MAD) 13:00 – Tegucigalpa/Palmerola (XPL) 18:00 Wednesday and Saturday.
    • Tegucigalpa/Palmerola (XPL) 20:00 – Madrid (MAD) 12:00+1 Wednesday and Saturday.

The route will be operated on Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a capacity of 432 passengers in a single configuration and promotional fares are available from USD 850 roundtrip.

«We share Palmerola’s excitement to open a new route in Honduras, especially when it is such a fantastic destination and such a beautiful and new air terminal as Palmerola,» said Paul Verhagen, president of Iberojet.
