American Airlines routes and flights between Miami and South America

American Airlines is the leading U.S. carrier taking into account the number of connections to and from South America. Most of the operations are carried out in Miami, one of the airline’s main hubs.

Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru and Suriname are the South American markets served. Uruguay returns in October, but Bolivia, French Guiana, Paraguay and Venezuela will remain off American’s schedule.

  • Pereira (PEI): 7 weekly flights – Airbus A319
  • Quito (UIO): 21 weekly flights – Boeing 737 MAX 8
  • Río de Janeiro (GIG): 7 weekly flights – Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
  • San Andres Island (ADZ): 2 weekly flights – Embraer 175
  • Santiago de Chile (SCL): 7 weekly flights – Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
  • Sao Paulo (GRU): 7 weekly flights – Boeing 777-300(ER)
