Air Transat Becomes Only North American Carrier to Serve Agadir Non-Stop
Air Transat will operate a new non-stop route between Montreal (YUL) and Agadir (AGA) during the 2026 summer season. This launch strengthens the airline's presence in Morocco, complementing its existing service to Marrakech.
The flight will operate every Friday from June 12 to October 23, 2026. With this addition, Air Transat becomes the only North American carrier offering non-stop flights to Agadir, a popular coastal destination on the Atlantic. The route will be operated using Airbus A321LR aircraft.
Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat, said that "Morocco is more popular than ever, both for its landscapes and culture, as well as for the diaspora ties that unite our two regions." He added that the service offers “a simple, fast, and friendly connection.”
Frequency increases from Toronto
In addition to the new route to Morocco, Air Transat will increase frequencies on several key transatlantic routes from Toronto (YYZ) for the 2026 peak season, responding to growing demand.
These adjustments also aim to improve connections with Porter Airlines' expanding network, enhancing connectivity via Toronto.
The following routes will see an increase in their weekly schedule:
- Toronto (YYZ) – Berlin (BER): Increases to 3 weekly flights (+1).
- Toronto (YYZ) – Lima (LIM): Increases to 3 weekly flights (+1).
- Toronto (YYZ) – Istanbul (IST): Increases to 3 weekly flights (+1).
