On March 3 Satena resumed non-stop operations between Colombia and Venezuela with the resumption of the Bogota (BOG) – Caracas (CCS) route. Currently, the Venezuelan capital is the only international destination for the state-owned airline. As part of the ANATO 2023 celebration, the company announced its plans to fly to Ecuador.

Flight 9R 8900 boarded 44 passengers (29 Colombian and 15 Venezuelan nationals) and was operated in Embraer ERJ-145, which took off from El Dorado International Airport (BOG) at 06:01 local time and Simón Bolívar International Airport – Maiquetía (CCS) at 08:34, after one hour and 54 minutes.

“We continue to strengthen ties of brotherhood with the Republic of Colombia, today the first Bogotá-Caracas flight of Satena airline landed in Maiquetía, giving way to the diplomacy of peace between both nations,” said Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayán, Minister of People’s Power for Transport of Venezuela.
