U.S. DOT authorizes Delta to fly between New York and Buenos Aires

As previously announced, the U.S. Department of Transportation approved Delta Air Lines’ application to provide scheduled passenger, cargo and mail service between New York (JFK) and Buenos Aires (EZE) under DOT-OST-2023-0009.

The authorization granted is consistent with the U.S.-Argentina Air Transport Agreement. Three airlines will operate on the New York – Buenos Aires sector if this service materializes, as Aerolineas Argentinas and American Airlines have regular service to JFK. United Airlines flew the EZE-EWR (Newark) route but discontinued it in 2019.

The next Delta is still awaiting approvals from the Argentine authorities.
