Wingo continues to strengthen its international connectivity in Panama-Pacifico airport

Wingo reinforces its presence at the Panama-Pacifico International Airport (BLB) with the start of operations to Costa Rica, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic this November. All services will be operated in Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a capacity of 186 seats.

The first service to start was San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) with three weekly flights on November 8. This was the company’s first international destination excluding Colombia this year.

Flight P5 7060 took off from Panama-Pacifico International Airport (BLB) at 18:55 local time and landed at Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) at 18:49, after 54 minutes.

Wingo plans to start operations to Havana (HAV) as of November 22 and Santo Domingo (SDQ) as of November 24, both routes will have two weekly flights. The airline will offer promotional fares between USD 90 -120 each way on these new international services.

From Colombia, the company has strengthened its operations to Bogota (BOG), Medellin (MDE), Cali (CLO), Cartagena (CTG) and Barranquilla (BAQ), the last of which began on October 6 of this year.

Wingo continues to expand and by the end of 2022 they incorporate a ninth Boeing 737-800 to their fleet, they will add more than 60 air operations between December and January to serve more than 10,000 travelers. The airline will have 7,000 new flights on 33 routes across 20 destinations in Latin America.

Wingo’s schedule in Panama – Pacific (BLB)

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Wingo will offer 10,478 weekly seats between Panama-Pacific (BLB) and Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba and Dominican Republic in December.

  • Bogota (BOG): daily flights.
  • Cali (CLO): Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Barranquilla (BAQ): Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Cartagena (CTG): Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Medellín (MDE): daily flights.
  • San José de Costa Rica (SJO): Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday.
  • Havana (HAV): Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Santo Domingo (SDQ): Tuesday and Sunday.
