Rome: more seats and flights than ever to the “eternal city”

Until 25 March 2023, the Iberia Group will exceed the frequency of flights and the number of seats available in Rome compared to the months prior to the start of the pandemic. In this way, it will reach its maximum historical capacity in the Italian capital.

The frequency between Madrid and Rome will be a minimum of five flights a day. On Fridays and Sundays, the airline will offer six connections in both directions. The Airbus A321, able to carry up to 200 passengers, will be used to cover this route. A total of 327.000 seats will be available between the two capitals, 34% more than in 2019.

Growth in other Italian cities

Iberia Group will also regain the flight frequency it had in 2019 to Milan. This winter, it will operate up to five flights a day between Madrid and the capital of the Lombardy region: it will have three daily flights to Linate and another two to Malpensa.

Moreover, it will match its 2019 capacity at Venice (162.000 seats) and Bologna (89.000 seats). The airline will operate three daily flights to and from both cities.

In addition, Iberia will have a daily flight to Florence and will offer a total of 74.000 seats to the capital of the Tuscany region during the winter season. Iberia Express will operate ten weekly flights to Naples and will offer more than 73.000 seats. Finally, Air Nostrum will operate fourteen flights per week and offer a total of 60.000 seats between Madrid and Turin.
