Phoenix – Sky Harbor Airport to be connected to 13 Mexican cities

-

Phoenix – Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) will be connected to 13 Mexican cities this winter boreal season, offering more destinations than before the pandemic.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, there will be an offer of 33,862 monthly seats in 240 air operations with the operation of three airlines between Phoenix (PHX) and Mexico, two American and one Mexican. The Aztec country is PHX’s main international market, where business, leisure and VFR (visiting friends and/or family) passenger traffic is generated.

As we previewed, Phoenix – Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) will have nonstop service to Monterrey (MTY) with five weekly flights operated by American Airlines starting January 10, 2023, the last connection between the two cities was in 2004.

“Mexico is Phoenix’s number one trade and tourism partner, making air service to Monterrey increasingly important to our local economy,” said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego.
“As American Airlines expands its international service, Phoenix benefits from increased connectivity to emerging global markets and sought-after leisure destinations,” Gallego added.
