On July 15 Viva Aerobus inaugurated its non-stop services between Cancun (CUN) and Santa Lucia Airport (NLU). Flight VB 2284 was operated in an Airbus A320 registered with the license plate XA – VAY and boarded more than 150 passengers. The aircraft took off from Quintana Roo’s main aerodrome at 13:05 local time and landed in the Mexican capital at 15:25.

Later, flight VB 2285 departed Mexico City (AIFA) at 16:30 and arrived at 18:55 at its destination in the Mexican Caribbean, with 175 passengers onboard.

The route between Felipe Angeles International Airport (NLU) and Cancun (CUN) offers daily flights operated in Airbus A320 with capacity for 180 passengers in single configuration and promotional fares are from 350 MXN per single trip, plus payment of the Airport Use Fee (TUA).

“Since we made the decision to develop this new world-class airport for the benefit of passengers in the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico, we have seen the interest of Viva Aerobus to work with us as a team to strengthen connectivity in the region. We wish them the best of success in this service, their third route already in operation from AIFA,” said General Isidoro Pastor, General Director of Felipe Angeles International Airport.

The low-cost airline continues to increase its presence in Quintana Roo with the start of the Cozumel (CZM) – Monterrey (MTY) route and the increase of frequencies to/from seven routes in Cancun (CUN), in addition to the restart of Toluca (TLC).
